Jonathan had a routine blood test at his 9 month appointment, and they say he has a high lead content in his blood. They are re-running the test today, to make sure that they didn't mess it up the first time.
The city will test your water, so we did that this morning. I think it takes a week or two to get the results back.We talked to Brenda Krayzel last night at church, whose youngest child recently tested high as well. His numbers were high enough to warrant a health inspector to come and put sensors and stuff all over their house. They found lead in various places: in some paint, in the mantel or connecting pieces of their fireplace, and all over the floors. Apparently, lead is sticky, so if you walk on leaded paint, you will track it everywhere else.
We do have some paint on our cellar floor. Pretty much everything else is carpet and wood paneling on the walls. The Krayzels' child and Jonathan both like to put everything in their mouth, so perhaps that is the main problem.
