Jonathan loves to create meals and side dishes.  On 10/2, he made a vegetable salad that we have recreated several times.  Carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes, onions, with one lemon's worth of juice as a dressing.  Simple and delicious.

10/12 - I was in the basement doing laundry when the phone rang.  It was Sanda.  She was trying to take a shower and all the water disappeared! It just struck me funny to get a phone call from upstairs.

10/16 - Noah successfully completed the big knob shape puzzle.  He clapped for himself each time he put in a piece.

Today Noah wore his first hard soled shoes in public.  He held my hand all the way to the ShurSave, but it only took that distance for him to get comfortable and now he walks just fine independently.

On this trip was the second time someone asked if the boys were twins.  I guess their size difference is hidden when they're riding in the car cart.

Jonathan was wearing his supersuit, which got a few comments.  Technically it's a PowerRanger suit, but he really just likes to be Dash from the Incredibles.  We're the Incredible family a lot around here.  Sanda is Frozone, Jon is Mr.Incredible, I'm Elastigirl, Jonathan's Dash, Noah's Jack-Jack, and of course Violet is invisible.  Jonathan likes to pretend the "spider" (that's the big evil robot) is coming and we have to fight it off.

So on the way home, a family was waiting at the bus stop and we talked with them for a while.  The dad really enjoyed Jonathan's conversation and Dash's antics and said, "He must be really intelligent.  He sounds like I could hire him for a job!"

Sometimes, especially if he's playing with a sword, he turns into Wesley from The Princess Bride, saving me (Buttercup) from the big rats.  "Oh, no!  A rat is behind you!  Don't worry, Buttercup, I'll save you.  I love you, Buttercup."

Tonight at dinner, he said, "When Daddy comes home, don't you think we should say something sweet to him, like congratulations, or something?"

Also at tonight's dinner, we had biscuits with a couple of different spreads.  Jonathan admired the strawberry jelly, but he RAVED over the mango sauce.  He said over and over again that it was his favorite, that he liked it better than the strawberry, etc, etc.  Then came the best one: "All the other sauces in my life are not as great as this one."
